Savannah's First Day

Well.....HER day finally arrived. And what a day it was. Mommy and Daddy had to be at the Hospital at 7:30 am for a scheduled 9:30 am delivery. Well....as schedules in hospitals go....we didn't get to go back for delivery until after lunch. Mommy was getting hungry by this point, and Daddy was just ready for Savannah to get here so he could hold her.(Mommy was ready to hold her too)

After a long wait, we went back around 1:00 pm. Well the doctor who helps mommy not hurt during the delivery was tied up in another operating room, so we had to wait even longer.

When everyone was finally in place, we went on with the show!!!

At 2:00 pm on 12-30-2010 Savannah Brooke Lee made her earthly debut. I know Grandma Nita, MatMat, and Grandmother Barbour held on to Savannah as long as they could, so they could tell her all about her Daddy and Mommy. I guess we will one day see what she was told!!!

Mommy and Daddy are really excited to have Savannah here with us. We have been anxious for many months now. We know that our Heavenly Father has been watching over us as we have been watching things go on for the last few months.

It is now time for all of us to go to bed here at the hospital. Who knows who may show up on Friday, New Years Eve.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PRAYED FOR US AS WE HAVE BEEN ANTICIPATING THIS DAY FOR MONTHS.

Our First Post

Well, Here We Go.....

This is our very first blog post.

I have had some time to play around with the site due to Amanda being in the Hospital Bed with a blood clot. We came to the hospital around 8:00 pm on Tuesday 12-14-10 because Amanda's leg was hurting. They did an ultrasound of her leg and saw the clot. We are hanging around so they can continue to watch the clot and figure out a plan from here. She is feeling much better, but still hurting a little. The doctors and nurses say that Savannah is doing fine. Because there isn't much that can be done while waiting and watching Amanda sleep, I decided to try to figure this site out. I have tried to learn how to put some pictures on here as well, so I hope it works.

We will do our best to keep everyone updated as the new and exciting time in our lives continues on. We will get more pictures of Savannah up as we get a chance.
